Abroad
I am going to be travelling outside of Qatar for a while, but I will upload any exotics I am able to capture around the world!

Long Time Coming
Chevrolet Corvette C6
I'm not sure what colour this is. Salmon? Peach? I don't think the police were impressed, because they captured this one, too.
Plymouth Prowler
This one is a little older than the gold Prowler I saw before, probably 1999 or 2000. Only about 10,000 of these were ever made, over the whole five years of production.
Hummer H2 (stretched)
There are many, many Hummers around this city, especially H3s. So I haven't bothered to capture any of them for the blog. But I thought this Hummer was just a little out of the ordinary. This thing can't be easy to drive. Or park.

Classic Luxury
Bentley Continental GT
Another Bentley to add to the collection. First black one I've seen.
Rolls-Royce Phantom
A serious luxury car. These cost something like $300,000. Notice that the handles on the rear doors are close to the front; rear-hinged doors! Not very common.
Ford Thunderbird
Fourth generation (c. 1965). Really don't see many classic cars like this around here.
Evading capture today was a white Mercedes SLR McLaren and a white convertible Lamborghini with the top down!

Weekend in the Village
Porsche 911 Turbo
Turbo!
Porsche CarreraMay be convertible?
Chevrolet Corvette C6
Haven't seen this deep orange colour one before.
Bentley Continental GT
First Bentley of the day. This guy just decided to make his own parking spot. First time I've seen the nine-spoke wheels.
Bentley Continental GT
Second Bentley of the day. That makes four in a week! (red, white, sliver & blue)
Audi R8Built on the same platform as the Lamborghini Gallardo (same chassis, same transmission), just with a smaller engine. And about half the price!
Also saw another Prowler today, deep red in colour. Didn't manage to get a photo.

Corvette Day

North Side
Bentley Continental GTC
Two Bentleys in two days! This one was a soft top. 550bhp!
Dodge Charger R/T
I believe that is a 5.7L Hemi V8.
This Charger appeared to be locked down by the police. That's a real car capture!
Porsche 911 turbo
Type 997, I think.

Landmark Starting Line
Bentley Continental GTI think this is the Continental GT Speed, but I'm not sure (check out those wheels!).
In any case, that W12 engine gives it a top speed of over 300km/h (326km/h for the GT Speed).
Chrysler Prowler
"Inca Gold" paint colour? 2002.

The Beginning
Welcome to Car Capture.
One of the bright spots about living in the Middle East is the cars. Some of the local citizens are fabulously wealthy and sometimes their cash gets spent on exotic autos.
So the rest of us mere-mortal expats can sit back and enjoy the view as the locals try to outdo each another with the awesomest car. We're always on the lookout for these high-end machines and always keep our cameras handy. When an exotic car gets captured by our lens, it goes up on this blog.
We're not the first ones to do this kind of blog. In particular, it's been done in this country over at Qatar Car Spottings, although that blog has been quiet for almost a year.
If anyone knows of any other relevant sites or blogs, let me know and I'll add a link on this page.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the cars. Peace.
